There are also some news websites which are relatively unbiased:
- The BBC occasionally has radio and TV programs on nuclear issues,
and has web pages with background information: bbc.co.uk
- Indymedia UK is an open news service: www.indymedia.org.uk
Lastly there are websites or organizations to beware of, as they are not what they seem.
Any site which has no postal address and no indication of who the site is
supporting, must be suspect. It may be genuine, but more likely it is a front for
an organization that wants to mislead, partly or wholly funded by the nuclear
industry.
- Country Guardian: campaigns against alternatives to
nuclear energy, specifically wind turbines. It has a broad name which misleads as to its
narrow focus.
One of its promoters is Bernard Ingham (who advised Thatcher on her push to build a dozen new
nuclear power stations as part of her fight against the miners).
